Since 1969, the heart of Affton has been our trucking operation. From
a single truck, Affton Trucking has grown to a fleet of over 100
late-model, company-owned trucks specializing in intermodal and
dedicated transportation, with the highest service standards in our
industry. Affton
serves importers, exporters, steamship lines and many of the area's
Fortune 500 companies. We also provide a specialized chassis fleet for
heavier loads or multiple units.
100 Trucks.
Affton Trucking features one of the most modern fleets in the
intermodal industry, utilizing both day cab and sleeper units to
serve our customers. Our day cab fleet is dedicated to local
service surrounding St. Louis, MO, while our sleeper fleet is
used for longer-distance moves. All units are equipped with
@road tracking and communication devices and all units are 100
percent company-owned.
Chassis Fleet/Overweight Units. Affton Trucking maintains our own private
fleet of intermodal chassis, to ensure your unit can be delivered on
time. The fleet includes tri-axle units and anysizer chassis to service
heavier payloads.
Professional Drivers.
The Affton driver meets some of the most stringent qualifications in
our industry. Following an extensive background investigation that
includes work history, driving record, and even criminal checks, the
driver is placed into our own training program. No driver leaves the
program or is allowed to drive for Affton until all investigation is
completed and all training has been achieved to the satisfaction of our
management team. All drivers are employees hired to operate our 100
percent company-owned fleet of trucks.
24/7 Truck Availability.
Our day does not stop when the clock strikes 5:00 p.m. We
provide live dispatch coverage from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. each
day, with after hours coverage available 24 hours per day, 7
days a week, 365 days a year. We utilize both on and offsite
communication so no driver or load is ever alone.
Extended Dispatch Coverage.
There is no need for special arrangements when booking with Affton, as
our coverage hours extend from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on an every-day
basis. Special arrangements can be made for any day or time, with just
one call to our Customer Service Department.
GPS & Messaging.
Perhaps the most asked question in transportation is, "where is the
driver now?" and at Affton, we have an answer. Utilizing a web-based
system, we can locate and contact our drivers any time enroute, allowing
for the most accurate and up-to-date information for our customers.
Knowledgeable Staff.
The staff at Affton is made up of career professionals. Each
candidate for service is reviewed extensively for knowledge, expertise
and service. We take pride in knowing we offer the most experienced
staffing available for every key position. New employees are trained
extensively in our proprietary specifics, along with the industry
